A friend recommended this place so I wasn't exactly sure about it. Definitely a dive bar which I like. I wanted to bring my dog on their patio and they said that was fine and the patio was pretty quiet which was great because my dog is sort of reactive to people Friendly service they had a parking lot to park in and I got the cheeseburger because there was a glowing review of it in the Star tribune and it was delicious along with the fries that came with it. I definitely would come back here.
Great dive bar! Went for a Bloody Mary and it didn't disappoint! We didn't order breakfast but wish we would have! Everything that went by the table looked delicious, especially the wings!
I had the Fajita special, and my girlfriend had the wings. Both were very good. The meals were a good value for quality and portion size. The server was very friendly. I disliked that they turned up the music too loud. I understand if it was closer to "bar" time later on, but we were eating about 6:00.
I must admit before starting- I was looking for a dive bar. Some where that had cheap drinks, bomb food and where we wouldn't be rushed out. I found that at Steve-O's! We stopped in on a weekday night with four adults and a baby. We weren't 100% sure a baby would be welcomed but after seeing several highchairs we went with it. Drinks are well priced, and a far cry from the over priced drinks downtown. We all enjoyed our food, from the wings, patty melt (super tummy) which also came with fried, to the mac and cheese (holy crap that was good). Everyone including the baby liked their food. The vibe is exactly what you would expect, a dive where most people seem to know each other. There is seating away from the bar as well, plus typical bar games. I'll be coming back, not only for the laid back vibe but also because the food and drinks were on point.
Forget the trendy places when visiting Minneapolis. This place is still my go-to. Lots of locals, but it's fun; food is great; and always fun throwing a few bucks at the pull tabs. My prior 5 star review remains -
Steveo's has all the neighborhood bar vibes. Personally, the only reason I came here the first time was because I was told to get the wings. The menu is large, and they have daily specials, darts, trivia, karaoke, and much more going on. They have two parking lots. One on each side of the building, but you can also park on the street. The staff is friendly. Mario is my favorite server as he is so friendly, helpful, and a good singer. I mostly come here with friends for food or just to have a few drinks. Chicken Wings- pass on the wing sampler. It comes with 12 drummies and flats which are good, but definitely not as good as the whole wings. You choose 3 flavors, choice of dressing, and it comes with celery. The whole wings - My favorites thus far have been the dry rub, buffalo, and garlic parmesan. I have a few I have not tried yet but am definitely looking forward to trying them all. They are juicy, meaty, crispy, and I am obsessed. I have also enjoyed breakfast and various other meals here including the chicken sandwich and the quesadilla. I recently had a Birria taco special and that was fantastic. Good vibes, good food, cheap drinks - nothing negative here.
This is such a fun place! It's divey and the food is so good. I will say their portions are huge so either come hungry or be prepared to split food. Our server, Mario, was FANTASTIC. He was funny and attentive. It would be worth a visit just for him. We will definitely be back to try the wings!
This place is a dive bar which is so good and the atmosphere is fun and sporty. It has darts pool tables and pull tabs. Everyone knows each other and everyone is smiling. Mario was our server and he is a delight. So nice so fun and made us feel welcome in a local bar Now the food yummy. We got pizza "fries" pulled pork sandwich and beef nachos. Everything was delicious They have lots of fun activities when the Vikings play. Free tacos Jell-O shots and so much more.
I'll admit, when we pulled up outside Steve-O's for the first time to meet friends I was a little unsure about the spot they had picked. But boy, was I wrong! Steve-O's has a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and some great food & drinks that I'm certain we'll be back for. Hubby tried the boneless wings with a dry rub, and I did a BYO burger. Everything was hot, cooked well, and delicious.
